In 2013, the Government of India took the bold step to mandate certain size Indian companies spend 2% of their net profits on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). However, inclusive growth is already in the DNA of the IT-BPM as it has grown during the era of inclusion. Currently, the mega trends of finding markets for goods and services is driving business towards new geographies and segmentation that was earlier considered niche or non-existent; many include disadvantaged communities and address social/environmental challenges that also have a business angle.
