Hari Vasudev is Vice President at Yahoo and heads its R&D center in Bangalore. Additionally, Hari is also responsible for Yahoo Groups and Yahoo Answers globally. Hari has been with Yahoo for over seven years and has held various leadership positions within the Platforms and Search teams in the organization. Hari previously headed the Cloud Platform Group at Yahoo India R&D and has led various Hadoop initiatives focused on managing big data, including strategies for storage, analysis and reporting. Prior to joining Yahoo, Hari managed engineering for the Kodak Easyshare Gallery (also known as Ofoto). He has also worked with diverse technology companies in the Bay Area. Hari has a master’s degree in Computer Science from Iowa State University and an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley.
